The President of the war ravaged country Somalia Sheikh Shariff Sheikh Ahmed has delivered a heart touching speech at France African summit at Nice in France.
In the first place the President of Somalia has conveyed his sincere gratitude to the international community particularly the African continent for the sincere and tireless support it has offered to Somalia which was in turmoil for the last two decades.
“The African countries are in one way or another supporting my war strife country Somalia, in order to restore peace and order in the country, some countries such as Uganda and Burundi have particularly taken their troops on the ground for the help of the Somali people” said President Shariff.
After that the President has briefed the head of states in the meeting hall about the current situation in Somalia, and some of the pints which the president has talked about are the humanitarian situation in the country, on the side of the security, reconstruction and the revival of the government institutions, and the general aspiration of the his government.
On the other hand the president has signaled the green light for the different Companies in France that Somalia is a rich country with different kinds of resources, and has urged them to partake the rebuilding of Somalia and make use out of that resources in the Somali soil.
The President has pledged that the Somali people whom he represents are willing to welcome any company which will discover the resources in the country, and develop the country’s economy.
The President has as well at length discussed about the issues of what he termed as terrorists and the Pirates.
“During the halcyon days terrorists or any other related trouble making factions could not dare to penetrate in our territories, but now when there is no strong central command in the country Somalia has become a save heaven place for terrorists and pirates, so thus Somalia needs support of all sides” said President Shariff. Eventually President Shariff has appealed the African head of states at the meeting and the President of France his Excellency Nicolas Sakozy to re-double their efforts towards Somalia
